Keith Grossman
|
Keith Grossman is a Peace Shark, a gentle warrior and problem-solver, who helps people, and the professionals who serve them, reorganize their families in a cooperative, honorable, and solution-focused way through divorce, child custody, and related family law issues.
Keith is a Collaborative Attorney, a Family and Circuit Civil mediator certified by the Supreme Court of Florida, an Arbitrator qualified by the Florida Supreme Court, and an Educator-at-Law. He basically considers himself a peacemaker helping families with new beginnings; with their new “happily ever after”. After handling hundreds of trials and mediations, Keith combines his 30 years of litigation, mediation, and training experience to find ways to bring peace to your life. He doesn’t fight in court; rather, he fights to help you understand why and how to stay out of court.
Keith helps you “think outside the court” and understand your no-court alternatives to an adversarial divorce, so you don’t go broke and you do preserve your relationships. In fact, the Lee County Association of Family Law Professionals awarded Keith the 2015 Hugh E. Starnes "Think Outside the Box" award for leadership, critical thinking, innovation, and dedication to non-adversarial practice. The Cape Coral Community Foundation has also recognized Keith as a nominee for the 2018 Elmer Tabor Generosity Award.
Keith handles divorce and family law cases involving child support, adoption, alimony, paternity,
prenuptial agreements, parenting plans and time sharing (custody). Admittedly soft-hearted, Keith offers you patient, individual attention because you are struggling with the emotional weight of your legal problems. Keith promotes Collaborative Divorce and Mediation because he knows these no-court options provide more honor and respect to the restructuring of a family. Keith also mediates privately without attorneys.
Keith has earned the respect of the local judiciary, his clients, and the legal community because of his sensitive approach, creativity, and dedication to his clients. Keith has been AV rated by Martindale Hubbell (less than 15% of all lawyers are awarded this distinction) and has been recognized as a Super Lawyer by Thomson Reuters. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Florida Gulf Coast University and Florida Southwestern State College, teaching Alternative Dispute Resolution, Elder Law, Law Office Management, Legal Research & Writing, and Comparative Criminal Justice. He is a Florida Supreme Court Approved Primary Trainer in Family and County Mediation. He is the Managing Editor of the Lee County Bar Association’s publication for lawyers.
When not spending time with his wife and three kids, Keith is usually cheering on the Florida Gators (especially the men's basketball team), listening to all genres of music, or listening to business podcasts. He wishes he had more time to get out and practice street photography (look it up; it's a thing).
