Attorney Keith Grossman Presents on "The Art of Negotiation" for the Above Board Chamber
Fort Myers, FL – May 13, 2014 – Attorney, mediator and trainer Keith Grossman, founder and managing partner of Grossman Law & Conflict Management, recently participated in an expert panel on “The Art of Negotiation!” presented by the Above Board Chamber of Florida. Held at the Hilton Naples, the luncheon discussion provided business owners the skills to use right away to achieve successful negotiations. Fellow panelists were Rebecca Zung, founding partner of Zung Cloung, PLLC and Dougall McCorkle, senior vice president at Premier Properties of Southwest Florida. Rob Wardlaw, associate publisher of Gulfshore Business Daily and GulfshoreBusiness served as emcee. Grossman identified the elements of a successful negotiation, in which all participants communicate their wants and needs and feel they each gained something in the process. In addition, the right combination of cooperation, assertiveness and gratitude makes negotiation a true art form. “Knowing the principles of establishing rapport goes a long way to achieving a business owner’s objectives in any kind of negotiation,” Grossman said. “Understanding how best to structure your proposition will also decrease the anxiety that can often accompany the process.” Above Board Chamber CEO and President Jeanne Sweeny said, “Keith shared so much good information that everyone left with the tools to become better negotiators. He was outstanding.” An Above Board member, Grossman frequently speaks to corporations, non-profit organizations and professional associations on topics such as conflict management in the workplace. He has recently published an e-book titled “What is a Peace Chest?” which is now available in a Kindle edition.
